Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received several awards and grants. She has advised a variety of authorities and government agencies around the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of child victims in the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
