Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that she has recorded. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway by her, also gave her the track a little more attention. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard within her loft and being amazed by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not as a job or a hobby however, as a chance to grow. The singer began to write her own songs. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as her main influences. After her mom said that her songs would not just help her get noticed, but also make others see their value within the global community and see the possibilities for them and her music, she was inspired to start playing in front of the public. Piano was her first instrument when she was six. She started creating music after turning nine. It was unknown by her family until she turned fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. The only thing she loves is writing songs. She says that music is her most preferred way of feeling something.
